Redfern launches Web site, encourages
Democratic forum
Hoping to share his views on the issues facing
Ohio and provide a resource for Democrats
throughout the state, House Democratic Leader
Chris Redfern today launched his new Web site,
www.redfernforohio.com.
Redfern, who traveled this spring to 22 cities
as part of a statewide town hall meeting tour,
saw a need for a centralized site where
Democrats can become better informed, share
ideas and find ways to get more involved.
“Ohioans across the state asked for a way to
stay connected, and I wanted to offer that,”
Redfern (D-Catawba Island) said. “The Web site
is designed to showcase what I have been
fighting for as the Democratic Leader, and most
importantly, to provide a place for dialogue
where all Ohioans can come together and discuss
how we can move our state forward.”
Redfern, who is considering a run for statewide
office, said he hopes the site will be a place
to share thoughts, ideas and concerns about
Ohio’s future, and the upcoming political races
in 2006.
“Next year will be an important and exciting
time for not only Democrats but for all those
who want real change and reform for how we do
business in Columbus,” said Redfern. “It is my
hope that by launching this Web site and
continuing to travel the state and hear from
Ohioans, we will be able to engage in a great
conversation about how to move Ohio forward for
all of us, not just some of us.”
